United Nations
Sustainable Development Goals

The UN Sustainable Development Goals consist of 17 goals and 169 sub-goals and are the most ambitious global development agenda to date.
The goals became effective on January 1st 2016 and are developed to set us on a course towards a more sustainable development for both humanity and the planet up until 2030.

At PICit we believe that no one are capable of doing everything, but everyone can do something.
Therefore, we have chosen to focus on 3 of the 17 goals, where we are able to make a difference.

#4

Quality Education

Goal #4 focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.

At PICit we wish to inspire young people to choose a career within IT. We seek to do that through different initiatives like company visits, case competitions and collaborations with students writing their Bachelor & Master theses. Moreover, we seek to donate our used equipment to NGOs focusing on the less privileged.

#8

Decent Work &
Economic Growth

Goal #8 focuses on promoting sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.

At PICit we focus on creating an amazing workplace with room for everyone. We have established several different initiatives, like daily excercises and outdoor walks, to ensure the health and well-being of our employees.

#9

Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure

Goal #9 focuses on building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization and fostering innovation.

At PICit we focus on fostering innovation through our internship programme. Every year we make agreements with students from universities and business academies about internships. It is a great way for the students to obtain practical experience, and we will get access to the most recently updated knowledge.

IT Camp for Girls

In continuation of our focus on goal #4: Quality Education, we have teamed up with IT Camp for Girls.
The camp is part of Aarhus University and focuses on creating three days with technology, design and inspiration for young girls, to show them that IT indeed is for women too.

In 2023 the camp will take place in October. Once again, we have chosen to sponsor the camp, because we wish to inspire young people to be curious on careers within IT.
